Message from Mr. Edward Kao; Our Youth Mission Leader:

The three things I’d like to constantly remind the Team Members are:
1. Memorize the Team Verse: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” ——-  1 Timothy 4:12
2. Know Whom Do We Serve? —————————————————— God
3. Know Why Are We Going to Taiwan?
Thank you and may God bless you for all your labors for His Kingdom!
In Christ,
Edward Kao

“Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.” Ephesians 4:1

“Called to Teach Training by Geraldine Cheng-Lee; OCCEC Children Ministry Director:
  • Be on your knees - you are engaged in a spiritual warfare that needs the Holy Spirit’s empowerment.
  • Be prepared - you will be challenged and tested both spiritually & physically.
  • Be an example - your teaching is both in and outside of the classrooms.

First thing first – Classroom Management

Before your students can learn & retain any information from you effectively, you’ll need to learn to get their attention and interest first (hook) – how to manage a class.

Be Preventive: Process of success begins before class

  • Partnership - confidence/The Holy Spirit, church family, local leadership, team-peers
  • Prayer direction/unity factor to the headship among the partnership
  • Preparedness effectiveness/prepare for the unexpected

Be Sensitive: Process of success during class

  • Spirit’s direct awareness & humility/The Holy Spirit is the head-teacher
  • Springy - flexibility/ready to switch to plan B when circumstance call for
  • Sharp - observant/listen to cues

Be Proactive: Process of success after class

  • Trustworthy words, behaviors, responsibilities, relationships
  • Listen -  be interested in your student’s life to impact life
  • Care “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” - John C. Maxwell

Go forth with His indwelling and empowering Spirit!
